Upcoming, second release on Àlden Records Music is a pretty off-the-beaten-track Album debut named Resonance.
A mesmerizing body of solo piano work from Iraq-born, UKschooled wonderkid Saif B., from London.
Saif B. is a self-taught pianist, improviser and maker. He has been playing the Piano since the age of 11. Saif is fascinated with the phenomenon of sympathetic resonance happening inside the Piano. He enjoys creating time and space-specific work, which is not written or pre-composed. It‘s improvised in a way that the conscious listener somehow plays the keys along with Saif. Born in Baghdad, he has been living in London since 2004. He is a graduate of Sound Arts and Design from London College of Communication, a campus of London‘s renowned University Of The Arts.
As part of the Hackoustic.org
initiative, Saif has organised workshops in experimental instrument making at the London Hackspace from 2014 to mid-2015, and participated in Turbine Festival at the Tate Modern and Maker Mile part of the London Design Festival in 2015. Saif has also participated in INTIME Symposium 2015 at Coventry University, where he demonstrated a string instrument made of an aluminium tubing, strung with high tension piano wire, and houses a fluid inside its resonant body. Saif is planning to continue his experiments in sound and vibration by studying a Masters in Acoustics at the University of Salford.

hear ten completely different sounds. It’s like a relationship, he said, that has come to an
